Creative Writing & Yoga

4 days to feel the flow

27th – 30th July 2018

'Be ground. Be crumbled, so wildflowers will come up where you are. You’ve been stony for too many years. Try something different. Surrender.’– Rumi

When wandering imaginations and yoga come together, we find ourselves in the perfect flow to write.

These 4 days are all about tapping into your subconscious, being curious, exploring new ways in which mind, body, heart and soul can work together in pursuit of creativity and joy.

Working between the writer’s studio and riverside shala, we’ll spend our days finding the perfect balance between imagination and focus, wildness and peace.

Themes drawn from the natural world as well as a range of spiritual and mystic traditions will link our two practices together, providing fertile ground for new ideas and dreams.

Your writing tutors are published authors, editors and experienced mentors with a passion for supporting other writers to develop their confidence and practice. They’re also all yoga students or teachers, and have a particular understanding of the way in which these two practices can help you find your flow.

Food is vegetarian and sugar-free with vegan options for each meal, cooked with love and using only organic and locally produced ingredients wherever possible. Allergies and intolerances can be catered for – please inform us in advance so we can best prepare to care for your needs. Tea, herbal infusions and fresh coffee are self-service and available throughout the day, and organic wines and beer will be available in the evenings.
