Trained in Hatha and Yin yoga, my teaching also has a strong Iyengar influence and focuses on bringing each student's awareness to their own inner landscapes, rhythms, and how to modify their practice to suit their body and mind on any given day.
Prior to teaching yoga I worked as a performing arts instructor, social worker and international charity manager, all of which have helped to shape the way I share yoga and meditation as tools for self-awareness and resilience.
I bring a strong belief in the importance of mental health and wellness to my classes, using yoga, Buddhist and earth-based philosophies to guide each student in bringing their practice off the mat and into daily life.
During a Riverheart retreat, you can expect lots of props, gentle breathwork and visualisation, mantra chanting, empowering ceremonies, laughter and a deep sense of community and wellbeing.
